HOW DO I ACCESS THE SMITHRX MEMBER PORTAL?

You can access your specific SmithRx pharmacy plan information online through UnitedAg’s Health Portal. The portal uses single sign-on (SSO), so once you log in to your UnitedAg Health Portal account, no additional login is required to access SmithRx.

Start your account:

  1. If you haven't registered, visit the UnitedAg Health Portal and click on the Register Now button in the upper right corner of the page.
  2. Register for an account using the information on your Member ID card.
  3. After entering your information, you can proceed to login to your UnitedAg Health Portal Account.
  4. Navigate to SmithRx on the left menu bar and then select Click Here to be directed to the SmithRx Member Portal. No need to sign-in again.

HOW DO I FIND AN IN-NETWORK PHARMACY?

Members must log in to UnitedAg’s Health Portal to access SmithRx and find an in-network pharmacy. Click here to learn how to access the SmithRx Member Portal.

After signing in to the SmithRx Member Portal, use the Find My Meds search bar at the top of the page. Enter the name of your medication and your location (ZIP code or city and state), then select the option from the dropdown that best matches your entry. You’ll see nearby pharmacies that carry your medication, along with coverage details and your estimated cost.

WHICH MAJOR PHARMACIES ARE IN NETWORK?

SmithRx partners with major national and regional chains, grocery stores and local pharmacies. If your preferred pharmacy isn't listed, call SmithRx Member Services at 833.573.7797 to check network availability.

Access your prescriptions easily through the SmithRx broad pharmacy network, including retail, specialty, and mail order options. Use the Find My Meds tool in the SmithRx Member Portal at unitedag.org/healthportal.

HOW DO I DETERMINE IF A SPECIFIC DRUG IS COVERED AND HOW MUCH THE COPAY WILL BE?

Login to the UnitedAg Health Portal and click on resources under the left menu bar. Then click on RxFlex Formulary Drug List.

Additionally, after signing in to the SmithRx Member Portal (using UnitedAg Health Portal single sign-on), use the Find My Meds search bar at the top of the page. Enter the name of your medication and your location (ZIP code or city and state), then select the option from the dropdown that best matches your entry. You’ll see nearby pharmacies that carry your medication, along with coverage details and your estimated cost.

HOW MUCH DO GENERIC MEDICATIONS COST?

For members enrolled in HSA-compatible plans, these same medications are available for just $9, providing exceptional value and convenience

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY MEDICATION IS A SPECIALTY DRUG?

Members are encouraged to contact SmithRx Member Support at 833.573.7797 to confirm whether your
medication is considered a specialty medication. You may also call UnitedAg Member Services at 800.223.4590, and we will assist you in determining the appropriate pharmacy and next steps.

MY MEDICATION NEEDS A PRIOR AUTHORIZATION, CAN THE AUTHORIZATION FORM MY PREVIOUS PHARMACY BENEFITS MANAGER CARRY OVER TO SMITHRX/UNITEDAG?

No. Prior authorizations from previous PBM’s are not transferable to SmithRx. For more information, please contact the UnitedAg Member Services department at 800.223.4590.

WHO STARTS MY AUTHORIZATION PROCESS?

On the formulary, medications that require prior authorization for coverage are marked with “PA” next to the medication. Your physician submits the prior authorization request on your behalf. Prior authorizations can be submitted electronically through CoverMyMeds at www.covermymeds.com or fax to 866.642.5620. Once all documentation is received, the SmithRx Clinical Team reviews the request using coverage criteria to make a determination. Non-urgent requests may take up to 72 hours, and urgent requests up to 24 hours after all required information is received.

For any other medications needing a prior authorization your provider can call SmithRx at 833.573.7797 to start the prior authorization process or you can contact UnitedAg Member Services at 800.223.4590 for
assistance.

MY MEDICATION NEEDS PRIOR AUTHORIZATION, BUT I NEED MY MEDICATION NOW, WHAT CAN I DO?

Contact UnitedAg Member Services at 800.223.4590. We will review your situation to determine whether you may qualify for a one-time exception override while your prior authorization request is being reviewed by SmithRx. Please note that certain medications require clinical review and may not qualify for an override. Approval is not guaranteed, but our team will work with you to explore available options and help prevent any disruptions.
